STORYTELLERS HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY TO THEIR AUDIENCE
R egardless of the medium all artists are storytellers. Truth is paramount. Fans expect us to share personal painful and often unresolved experiences. That’s how we connect. There in lies the double edged sword. Relevance. Survival. For most artists life balances on feast or famine. For many the question becomes “What is success and what price am I willing to pay for it? ”Regardless of where we are on the spectrum all artist are brilliant- ‘CKC’
Meet me. Charles K Campbell “Unmistakably CKC”. Welcome to the mad world of an indie writer, and film director. I write everything for adults and children, including but not limited to; scripts, episodic tv, novels, short stories, and rhyming books.
My storytelling is mostly a fusion of hyper fantasy, mystery, and dramatic narrative. I take audiences on a wild ride, and drop them off, not always in one piece, but safely. I love twisting a plot and sending readers down a rabbit hole or on a wild chase that leads to more madness.
Directing films is another passion. I long for the opportunity to direct a feature film without having to finance, cast, location scout, and oversee every department related to a movie. Meanwhile, have a gander at how I use what the universe has blessed me with.
The cliché “Here today gone tomorrow” is my motto. Thus, although I write with passion, and purpose, I have fun.
Enough talk, let’s go find something in my growing body of work that suits your fancy, or it is fantasy. All you gotta do is click a link. Any link. And enter.
“HERE TODAY, GONE TOMORROW”
Peace out for now. “CKC”

Set in 1853, Boone County, Kentucky, ALL OR NOTHIN’ ‘AON’ is an epic tale based on true events, and represents real life Underground Railroad heroes/sheroes. A blend of literary scholarship and creative licensing, we maintain historical accuracy as recorded via verbal accounts, and research. We salute the scholars, educators, researchers and oral historians for preserving The Escape of the 28 (which AON is based) and for their preservation of stories similar in scope. AON is just one story of thousands that contains dark and light elements of America’s rich past. This honestly raw tale presents man at his most evil, and compassionate stages. AON, those who made it, and those who they reenact, represent guts, will, and sheer determination. Based on one of the largest documented escapes in American history, AON offers a bold step toward healing the racial divide in America. We especially hope that learning institutions across the country embrace AON as a teaching tool. Innovative sample lesson plans are available to educators.

Satan sends His son Willy Doll up from Hell to claim another soul. The unsuspecting victim is Willy Zane, a black South Los Angeles teen who longs to star in his own horror film. Willy is high-IQ but low on common sense.
At the core of Willy Zane lies a vivid exploration of human vulnerability and the potential for evil that lies within all humans. Central themes include but are not limited to; betrayal, bullying, fallibility, greed, racism… Set in Baldwin Hills Estates, Beverly Hills, and Hollywood, CA this hyper-fantasy horror story overlaps the 7 major story conflicts. The play weaves together heartfelt storytelling and dynamic characters, inviting reflection on a mother’s unwavering love and protection for her child. Facing supernatural forces and insurmountable odds, Helen Zane’s remarkable resilience, and faith establishes a benchmark for resounding character. Her love for family, identity, and community is what every mother strives to represent. Audiences can expect an evocative journey that resonates with the diverse spirit of Los Angeles.
Thankfully researchers preserved this American history
Being an independent artist has many pros. The main one is that my work retains originality. Others get to experience my art raw. Oftentimes when an artist gets an agent, contract, and wider distribution the artist no longer retains control of their content. The financier can have, and usually says what of the artists original work is kept or rejected. Seen or unseen.
The biggest cons to artistic autonomy are less exposure, and little money to create. If you see value, and promise in my art please offer financial support so that I can continue to create. Consider this, “Do you want cookie cutter or original art?” I always deliver original work such as what you’ll see here. Enjoy and support. Support and enjoy. That way even when my work gets world recognition I vow to always fight to retain creative control insuring your satisfaction.
